Coastal August Recap

The Coastal Report: August 2026

Our first club newsletter is out. ECNL promotion, a strong first month in league play, 22 All-Regional selections, Team Camp and a donation to Lakeview Center.

Our first club newsletter is out. The Coastal Report is a monthly look at what is happening across Coastal Rush, on the field and in the community, and the August 2026 issue covers a big opening month.

A new level for our boys program. Our boys earned promotion into the ECNL Boys Mid-America Conference, announced in March alongside Tennessee United. We got there on the field, going 37-6-3 across the program in the ECNL RL Gulf Coast with four of our six teams unbeaten at the time of the announcement. Our ECNL sides then opened their inaugural season with 15 wins, one draw and four losses across the club. The B2013/14 group is unbeaten at 4-0-0 and B2009/10 sits at 3-0-0.

RL is off and running. Our ECNL Regional League girls picked up right where they left off, going 18-2-2 across the club in August with G2012/13 and G2009/10 both unbeaten. Our new RL boys teams played their first Regional League matches since promotion and have already banked nine draws while finding their feet at this level. That follows a June to remember, when ten Coastal teams competed at the ECNL RL Southeast Playoffs and our RL 2010 Boys won the Southeast Playoff Championship 3-1 to reach the National Finals in Richmond for the second straight year.

22 All-Regional selections. Congratulations to the 22 Coastal Rush players named to the 25/26 ECNL RL Gulf Coast All-Regional League Teams, 12 boys and 10 girls. Every name is listed in the newsletter.

Team Camp and player testing. We brought all 18 ECNL and ECNL RL teams together at Ashton Brosnaham Park for testing, training, media day and CAP Talks. Every player ran the Skillmasters battery, with laser timing gates for speed and agility and AI verified video for ball control, benchmarked against more than 150,000 athletes. Full club leaderboards are inside, and players can view their own scores at app.skillmasters.io.

Giving back. Coastal Rush families presented a $2,763 donation to Lakeview Center's specialized therapeutic foster care program, which supports children and teens across Northwest Florida.

A new Premier Uniform Sponsor. Aylstock, Witkin, Kreis & Overholtz, PLC (AWKO Law) has joined the club for the 2026-27 season, with their logo on every Boys ECNL and Girls ECNL Regional League kit.

And our first commit. Cate Carlson, a Coastal player for more than ten years, is our first college commit of 2026/2027 and is headed to the University of West Florida.

There is more inside, including our National 1 League page with the remaining District 3 weekends, the full Coastal Rush pathway, and how local businesses can partner with the club.
