College Advisory Program
Coastal Rush Class of 2024 had over 57 players committing to play soccer at the Collegiate level, making us the club with the most commitments among all Rush Clubs in the USA in the 2023/2024 Season.
Our Coastal Rush College Advisory Program is an in-depth, free, EXCLUSIVE, player-focused program that gives Coastal Rush players support, services, and resources to maximize their success, even if they don't want to play collegiate soccer. Whether you're a player looking for collegiate guidance or help maximizing your exposure to college coaches, or a parent who needs help understanding the search process, our Coastal Rush College Advisory Program is designed for everyone.

1 on 1 support Program
If your child is a Sophomore or older, they now have access to our Coastal Rush College Program. Players who are interested in playing soccer in college have the opportunity to get 1 one 1 support from the leadership team at Coastal Rush. There is a process in place to help members of all Coastal Rush Clubs. Use the button below to complete our College Program form, then we'll reach out to you to schedule a private 1v1 meeting.
Once all the paperwork, highlight video, and social media assets are completed, you will set up a time to meet with Coach Felipe on the boys side, or Coach Nick on the girls side. At this level, your player has done all the required work and the team at Coastal Rush can help put the player in touch with soccer programs that match their ability and school requirements.

Meet Your CAP Director
John-Michael

John-Michael is Coastal Rush's College Advisory Program Director and your family's go-to resource for starting college recruiting process. He works directly with players to get them going in the right direction when starting the process.
A Coastal Rush product himself, John-Michael played with Perdido Rush and Coastal Rush for 10 years. During his career he earned selection to the ID2 Training Program, the Region III ODP team, and the U.S. Soccer ID Combine. He went on to play collegiately at St. Bonaventure University in the Atlantic 10 Conference before transferring to the University of West Florida. He also plays for Guam Men's National Team.

Felipe Lawall

Coach Felipe Lawall, a native of Sorocaba, Brazil, joined the UWF soccer program as an assistant coach in 2017 after an awesome playing career at UWF from 2003-06. As a captain he led UWF to 2 GSC Championships, and NCAA II final 4 appearance in 2006 where he was named ALL American. In 2015 he was inducted to UWF Hall of Fame.
Since coach Felipe joined UWF as an assistant coach, they have reached 5 GSC finals and won 2 GSC championships. They also have made to 4 NCAA II national tournament as well as finished nationally ranked in the top #25 in every year since 2019. Coach Felipe is also Booker T. Washington High School Head Coach since 2012 and he was named 5x Pensacola News Journal Boys Soccer Coach of the Year since he joined the program. He also holds a USSF D license and an NSCAA National Diploma.
Felipe earned his bachelor's degree in Physical Education and Exercise Science from UWF in 2006.

Jason Providence

Coach Jason “Provi” Providence brings over a decade of coaching experience and player development success to every team he leads.
He spent more than ten years as a club head coach with Pensacola FC Soccer Club, where he guided his teams to numerous championships, including the Super Y League National Championship (2014), a Florida State Cup Final Four appearance (2019), and the Florida State Premier League Championship (2020).
Throughout his tenure, Providence has helped place numerous players in collegiate programs across the country. Among his most notable alumni are Emily Madrill , a two-time NCAA National Champion (2018 & 2021) with Florida State University (FSU) and Sophia Nguyen, who also won an NCAA Division I National Championship in 2023 with FSU.
Currently in his third season at the University of West Florida (UWF), Providence joined the Argonauts’ program as a volunteer assistant coach in Fall 2023. Since his arrival, UWF has earned three regular season championships, one conference tournament championship, a South Region Championship, and recognition as the South Region Coaching Staff of the Year.
In addition to his collegiate work, Providence served as an assistant coach for Pensacola FC in the WPSL, where he helped the team finish second nationally in 2017 and 2018 before capturing the WPSL National Championship in 2019. That title winning squad featured Uchenna Kanu, who later went on to set the NWSL record for the fastest brace (two goals in six minutes).
In 2021, Providence was named head coach of Pensacola FC’s UWS (United Women’s Soccer) team. Under his leadership, the team won both the league and conference championships, earning him Southeast Coach of the Year honors. Four players from that championship team were later selected in the top 10 of the NWSL Draft, including Emily Sams (Madrill), Christina Roque, and Lauren Flynn, all of whom continue to play professionally.
Most recently, Providence has continued his success with Coastal Rush Soccer Club, where he has led both the 2007 and 2010 girl’s teams. Under his guidance, the squads claimed ECNL RL North Florida Division titles in 2024 and 2025, and his 2010 team captured the 2025 Southern Regional ECNL RL Championship.
