Promotion to ECNL

There was big news coming out of Pensacola, FL in the month of March as the Elite Competitive National League (ECNL) announced the promotion of Coastal Rush's promotion to the ECNL league for the boys. Currently, the panhandle of Florida's leading RL club, Coastal has had substantial success in the ECNL Regional League, sending 5 RL boys teams to the regional RL tournament and RL girls to the regional tournament last summer. Both Coastal RL boys and Coastal RL girls had a team to advance to the national tournament last July.

Currently, Coastal RL boys have 3 teams in first place in the RL Gulf Coast Conference and 3 teams in first place on the girls side. As it stands, Coastal will have 5 Boys teams and 5 Girls teams represented in the regional RL tournament in June.

Coastal Rush is currently the only soccer organization in the panhandle that directly offers ECNL - RL opportunities. Now, they will be the first and only soccer organization to offer BOTH, ECNL and ECNL - RL.

Four years ago, founder and Director of Coaching, John Guidroz, had a vision to bring not only more soccer opportunities, but the opportunity for players in the FL panhandle to play in America's top competitive soccer league, the ECNL. Seven selected clubs across the panhandle area collectively partnered together to support for this access allowing players from Mobile, AL to Santa Rosa Beach/ Destin, FL to take their game to the next level. The seven Coastal Rush Clubs are Mobile Rush (Mobile, AL), Baldwin Rush (Baldwin, AL), Perdido Bay Futbol Club (Perdido, FL), Pensacola FC (Pensacola, FL), Bayside Rush Futbol Club (Gulf Breeze, FL), Emerald Coast United (Niceville, FL) and Gulf South Soccer Club (Santa Rosa, FL).

What does this mean for the Niceville/ Crestview/Ft. Walton/ Destin area?

1) Direct access to play in the highest league for boys youth soccer, the ECNL. Coastal Rush ECNL boys will train in Pensacola, FL, also making it not just the only club with this prestigious status, but by far the closest.

2) Direct access to play in the renown ECNL - RL league. With the promotion on the boys side, Coastal Rush will have numerous locations for their RL teams. Coastal Rush will be announcing soon three boys' ages that will be located in Niceville and Santa Rosa. ECNL - RL will very soon be in your backyard!

3) Direct access to ECNL - RL for the girls. Coastal Rush remains the only direct provider for RL girls soccer in the nearby area.
